Tuesday's lesson on Opening sequences.
On Tuesday we learnt about many things which relate when it comes to opening sequences such as a company indent eg Walt Disney Pictures. We also went over the pieces of the beginning of any movie which is what is clearly shown to the audience in the first two minutes. Such as the director, who the movie is starring, the producer and usually it has like a thirty second clip showing the main character showing maybe who he is or shows us what he does or sometimes doesn't even show us much about the character such as in the movie "I Am Legend" when it shows Will Smith having a shower and getting dressed, It has completely nothing to do with the actual story behind it all which leaves the audience thinking that the movie might just be boring. But when it all kicks in then the audience start to know a little more about the movie and then would want to know even more. Also in the lesson on Opening Sequences we learnt about the hermeneutic code which are narrative nigmas that are questions with no answers which then makes the audience want to read more, These are used more often at the beginning of movies such as in i Robot. The Proairetic code was another part we also learnt which is an action that leave the audience trying to figure out what the outcome will be within a problem or arguement in a movie. This creates suspension and tension because none of the audience will know what is going to happent next.
